Lil' Rascals

One of the cutest films made for kids ... :) thats why maybe i enjoy it so much...

I think I have watched the movie over five times and i still continue to enjoy it .... 

The children have acted so well in it .. it almost like they are living their roles on screen .... It looks and sounds like they had a lot of fun. 

The director Penelope Spheeris must have had a tough time controlling and directing so many kids but it was well worth the effort. 

The story goes like this ... 

Spanky is the president of "He-Man Woman Haters Club" (can you imagine that??) and all the members including the president is at a grand old age of five :P .. 

Spanky's best friend is Alfalfa , (he has the cutest hairstyle :))... well there is something odd about Alfalfa --- he likes girls and one girl in particular ... Darla . He just cannot help it , he likes them and that is against the club rules :) 

Now Alfalfa being the besotted young man , brings Darla to the clubhouse ... the others get to know and get to ruin their date ... one thing leads to another and they manage to set fire to their club house :) ....... the only thing that can help rebuild the club house is the first prize in a Go Kart Derby .... O they are sure to win that one :) they have their sleek mean machine --- a cute go kart called "The Blur"

The rest of the movie is how they manage to get their Kart stolen and manage to win the race.... 

It is basically hilarious ... 

There are a few memorable scenes --- Darla and Alfalfa's date , their boat ride and the song cuteeeeee ; Alfalfa's song to win Darla back and all the bubbles in the process :) ; Uh-Huh the cute adorable kid whose vocabulary is only this exclaimation ........ 

Over all the cutest movie have ever seen and one of the most memorable ones .a Must Watch !!! 

Some Like it Hot !!!

For some inexplicable reason am a fan of Marilyn Monroe's.. All her dumb blond act is some how alluring.. Always have thought of her as naive and don't think that all that act on screen is an act somehow. ... 

Well the movie some like it hot is ... how do i classify it .... well --- classic romantic comedy :)

You can leave your brains at home kinda movie... But it is very well thought out and superbly scripted movie .. even if it is a "goofy" comedy ... 

The cast includes - Marilyn Monroe , Tommy Curtis and Jack Lemmon... :) 

Well the story goes like this ... Joe and Jerry are two musicians usually out of work and debt ridden .. they play in a night club(owned by Spatz -- an Italian mobster) in Chicago during the probation era. ..

 

Now unfortunately for them there is a raid (which they escape) now they are left jobless and coat less (Joe has a thing for gambling) in the freezing winter... 

Their woes don't end there .. they are eye witness to the murder of a mob man called matchstick by Spatz ... So now with no money and mobsters chasing them ... these two idiots decide to dress up like girls and join an all girl band and perform in Florida.

They meet "Sugar" who is quite adorable but is blond, naive , has a drinking problem , has a thing for sax players and is the singer in the band. Here the fun starts when both of them fall for her. 

In Florida Joe being the brains of the two manages to attract Sugar , as a Shell Oil millionaire.... 

While Daphani (Lemmon) is chased by a real millionaire :) 

There is a Mobster Convention (Do u believe that??? !!) in Florida and Joe and Jerry meet their Nemesis there ..... so the chase begins again resulting in the demise of Spatz .... Then the happily ever after starts :) 

The most funny part in the movie has to be ........ Jerry (Daphanie) forgetting that he is a boy ... marvels in the fact that a man is paying so much attention to him and has proposed to him .. they tango all night ( that is hilarious) and in the morning they are debating were their honeymoon will be ... man ... that scene stays with you ... :D

Total Paisa Vasool ... worth a watch ... so go pick up your pirated DVDs from national Market guys !! :P

AAAAAAAAAAAa......... Its KIDNAAAAAAAAPPP !!!

A bunch of us decided to go for a movie .... we chose Kidnap ........... 

One word for it ..... Disaster 

It was one of the most 'silliest' of movies I've watched in a long long time... I mean even Om Shanthi Om will make a lot of sense to you after you watch this one ... 

Manissha Lamba was there .... just to catwalk for the 'Tundu Batte' association .... which hostage is provided with a array of sexy mid riff baring clothes for each scene ?? 

Sanjay Dutt ... I never got a feel that he was a father , whose daughter is missing ... I mean , come on .... it was like , he dint care .. it was a lot of hamming ...

Imran Khan ... cute cute kidnapper ... smart also ... but hammed his way through the film ... 

He is fit for cute roles man ... not for intense roles like these, they require a passion and intensity to hate ... he cannot bring that feel ... 

The plot was ... lets put it this way .... A kidnapper plays a game with the family members of the hostage , which ends with a moral science lesson ... 

You don't even need to know the rest .... just forget it ......

All in all ...A DON'T WATCH!!!

Rock On !!

I finally managed to catch "Rock on" yesterday .... 

We all have heard the adjectives - brilliant , awesome,sooooper, superlative ....... associated with it. It justifies each and every one of those adjectives. Every one's acting is brilliant,direction is sooperb and the story ( the main part) - it is fresh... 

I dint know Farhan was that cute :P .. he's a phenomenal actor,contemporary,subtle,natural... 

For some odd reason I liked Luke the best , he dint over do anything , he was understated ... no one may agree  with me but he was really really good 

The story is very very fresh.. it appeals to my generation. Most of us are in the wrong career paths because of various reasons , "Live your Dream" is possible for a very few of us. 

A stroke of luck which reunites people to their dream is something really how do I put it , rare.... 

The story does not involve a very complicated plot , but the way it is treated and presented is brilliant .... 

May it be Adi (person who has locked himself away) ,Joe(running after a dream) , KD(person caught in a wrong job) , Rob(a person who wants more than anything is to perform with Magik) , Debbie(a frustrated wife) or Sakshi(a wife who does not know anything about her husband and struggling to reach him) --- all these characters are easy to relate to , we know each one of them in our life's and we see ourselves on the screen.

Not everyone wants to have a Rock band but this movie make us want to believe that we can "Live our Dreams" :)
